Vote for Joseph. A. Egan, Jr. on August 10 – Bob Jewell, Esq.
July 28th, 2010
Our Probate Court, which is responsible for settling probate estates, conservatorships, guardianships and adoptions, is slated to merge with the courts in Redding, Bethel and Newtown. On August 10, 2010, Ridgefield’s voters will have the important task of selecting the Probate Judge who will lead the Probate Court into the future. Ridgefield’s Joe Egan is facing off against two fellow judges and he needs our support.
Joe has been our Probate Judge for almost twenty years and a practicing attorney for much longer, so he understands the issues that arise in the Probate Court both from a practitioner’s standpoint and a jurist’s standpoint. This balance gives Joe the perspective needed to organize and manage the Probate Court from an administrative side as well as from the customer service side. Joe’s opponents simply do not have his breadth of experience and knowledge and lack the balance to effectively guide our Probate Court into this new era.
Joes’ superior qualifications have not gone unnoticed either. He was elected by the National College of Probate Judges to be their President, a leader among Probate Judges across the United States. And all of the local probate attorneys I know recognize Joe as the clear choice to lead the new Probate Court.
In order to get Joe elected, we have to make sure that as many of Ridgefield’s Republican voters turn out to vote in the Primary on August 10, 2010. If you will not be in town, please take the time to fill out an absentee ballot in the Town Clerk’s office before you leave on vacation because every vote will be of paramount importance. Please remember to vote for Joseph. A. Egan, Jr. on August 10.
