Police and Fire Organizations Endorse John Frey for Re-Election

The Connecticut Council of Police and the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut have both announced their endorsement of State Representative John H. Frey for re-election.

“On behalf of the CT Council of Police Unions, we take pleasure to inform you that we have endorsed your candidacy for State House of Representatives. The Executive Board’s unanimous decision is evidence of our commitment to you,” said James Howell, Council 15 Executive Director in a letter to Rep. Frey.

“It is our belief that your election to the State House is in the best interests of the residents of Connecticut as well as our four thousand members who serve as sworn offices in sixty municipalities (including Ridgefield),” added Howell.

In notifying Representative Frey of his endorsement, Unformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut President Peter Carozza said “this action is taken after careful consideration of your record of support for the Professional Firefighters of the State of Connecticut, your responses to our questionnaire and your commitment to helping to insure the health and safety of our brothers and sisters throughout the state.”
Mr. Carozza continued “We look forward to your successful election and continued support in the General Assembly in the coming years. Good luck and thank you for your support of professional fire fighters issues including issues of importance to the fire service at large. We are proud of our association with you and look forward to our continuing partnership.”

“These endorsements from the police and fire members mean a lot to me,” Frey said. “Here in Ridgefield, I am a strong supporter of our dedicated firefighters and police officers, who provide a brave service and are very visible in the community.”
